Tate Christiansen, a standout from Handsworth Secondary School in North Vancouver, is currently playing for Simon Fraser University. Known for his elite shooting and high basketball IQ, Tate developed a deep passion for the game at a young age. His strong frame and consistent shooting touch have earned him numerous accolades, including BC Champions League U18 All-Star and BC Junior Boys Provincial All-Star (2020) honors. Basketball runs in the family—his mother, Karen (née Brydon), played for the University of Alberta from 1990–95 and was named team MVP in 1995, while his father, Axel, played for the UBC Thunderbirds during the 1989–90 season while completing his MBA.
